Membership

We offer a number of membership categories to choose from:

 

TEMPORARY MEMBERSHIP

This is available to those who are new to lawn bowls.  It offers the opportunity to receive some coaching and start to learn the art of lawn bowls without having to commit to joining as a full member immediately.  Temporary membership is free.

Please email the club secretary rmandgf@btinternet.com to arrange a visit or register your interest in joining one of our taster sessions from Sunday 4th May to Saturday 10th May 2025. You will be met by one of our coaching members who will be happy to introduce you to bowling and the club.

So please pay us a visit, learn about the game, meet lots of new friendly faces, have a cup of tea and a chat afterwards.

 

NEW BOWLERS MEMBERSHIP *

This membership category is available to those who started the season as Temporary members and wish to become full members in the same year.  New Bowler membership costs £45 (less than half price and with no club Annual Subscription). 

 

SOCIAL MEMBERSHIP

Enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the green from our veranda.

FULL MEMBERSHIP

​We are open every weekday from late April to September and we play in all weathers unless the green is deemed ‘unfit for play’.

​The club offers coaching for new bowlers and provides a friendly environment to enjoy your bowls at any level.

Friendly matches are played against various other clubs.  Internally there are also roll-ups every week day which are played on a turn up and play basis.

In addition Full members pay an Annual Subscription fee, currently £25 (in 2024) for insurances, affiliation fees and services.

Note:  Green Season Ticket fees are paid via the club to Croydon Council.

 

PAY ‘N’ PLAY

As we are a council owned bowling club, one rink is always available for hire by members of the public.
